Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Stay current with and vulnerability and malware research and other relevant security threats and trends, with an eye towards both fulfilling service deliverables and constantly improving protection of clients
- Handle security-centered escalations, questions, and requests from the Security Operations Center and Client Services
- Provide expert security intelligence, analysis and reporting for MSS customers on a regular and ad-hoc basis
- Provide security business intelligence to other teams in Dell SecureWorks, including security effectiveness and operations efficiency metrics, etc…
- Design and run reports and queries for analysis and research
- Assist the Team Manager & CTU leadership in identifying and prioritizing engineering and process enhancements
- Manage short-term and long-term projects involving cross-functional teams in the CTU, Operations, and other functions as necessary
- Help innovate, develop and maintain tools used in the execution of team processes
Education & Experience
- Prefer 5+ years of security engineering with strong hands-on knowledge with enterprise security policy
- Strong understanding of network security concepts and technologies
- Experience with working directly with clients, both over the telephone and face-to-face, at both senior and technical/operational levels
- Demonstrable interest and Strong understanding of Managed Services business and scalability issues.
- Have an interest and knack for innovatively approaching challenges, opportunities, and solution fulfillment on behalf of clients and internal teams
- Ability to manage multiple tasks or projects from conception to delivery
- Ability to interact with members of cross-functional, geographically diverse team, reach consensus, and show results
- Competence in writing and reviewing technical reports and business plans
- Ability to think strategically and locate security and business value in management as well as operational frameworks
- BS in CS, or Engineering, GCIH or similar preferred.
