Overview
Seeking a Demand Generation Representative (DGR) who will work on a team of Partner Development Representatives, Business Development Managers and Storage Architects to assist our Business Partners in generating qualified end user leads.  Applicants must have excellent interpersonal and selling skills, experience working in a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment, be readily available and willing to travel, and be able to handle significant autonomy and responsibility.
 
Location: Eden Prairie, MN 55344
Responsibilities
- Execute sales prospecting activities.
- Introduce Compellent as a company, the product and its value proposition.
- Profile and qualify leads and disposition to appropriate team member (BD Manager / Business Partner).
- Develop a comprehensive knowledge of the Company's products, technical architecture, industry characteristics, and competitive environment and be able to effectively communicate to customer senior management.
- Proactively maintain and service leads assigned to your team to ensure consistent growth of territory customer base.
- Work closely with marketing, inside sales and field-based teams to comprehend intent of specific campaigns and provide closed loop reporting on status of all leads.
- Constantly update the customer relationship management database.
- Perform duties in a complete, timely, energetic, courteous, friendly, sensitive and proactive manner.
- Complete other duties and responsibilities as required.

Qualifications
 
- Bachelors Degree (BA/BS).
- Demonstrated / tested ability to take initiative and be a rainmaker.
- Demonstrated ability to give presentations both one-on-one and in group setting.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment.
- Excellent phone and communication skills.
- Innate and overwhelming desire to sell.
- Experience working with Microsoft suite of software including CRM.
- Storage and/or technology sales experience is preferred.
- Willingness to relocate
