Merchandising Advisor Round Rock, TX

Drives the vision and strategy of assigned product line(s) and manages the product throughout its lifecycle. Translates business strategies into product strategies assortments and product specifications that deliver against both our core customer needs and our company strategic and financial goals. Merchandising Responsibilities: • Tactical execution of merchandising programs. • Focuses on supporting multiple skus in software, peripherals, consumer electronics and accessories • Conducts competitive analysis to identify pricing and industry trends. • Analyzes product/channel performance and supports execution of corrective actions. • Demands generation utilizing media agency management, media selection and partnership with external vendors to establish a solid go to market strategy that delivers on RUM (Revenue, Units, Margin). • Owns developing the right message to focus on the correct customer segmentation, building offers that are relevant to the target audience. • Drives the top and bottom line and optimizes all aspects of the portfolio P&L by delivering smart assortment, managing in-stocks, driving continual channel improvements and delivering the best customer experience. • Applies deep understanding of customers’ needs, the product and the competitive landscape. • Develops and champions assortment vision and strategy, product roadmap and launches in support of corporate goals and objectives. • Uses customer & market research, customer and user feedback, customer usage/segmentation and competitive analysis to inform assortment decisions and enhancements. • Collaborates with cross-functional team to develop, plan and implement new business development initiatives. • Works closely with marketing to launch products and ensure their adoption. • Coordinates with the S&P COC to manage technology transitions by category and/or product line. • Takes necessary actions to manage short and mid-term stock levels. • Applies a thoughtful combination of marketing levers (price, positioning, and promotion) to drive, sell-in and ensure sell-through, enabling smooth inventory transitions and migrating excess supply. • Monitors slow sellers, and takes action to impact run rates via price reductions and/or other demand-driving activities as necessary. • Supports content development of marketing collaterals such as training, product catalogues/brochures as subject matter product knowledge specialist.

• 8-10 years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and work experience • Undergraduate degree and 4-6 years relevant experience or Graduate degree and 2-4 years relevant experience. • Understanding of retail industry. • Working knowledge of assigned product lines.
