Privacy Notice - New York City Residents 

This Dell Technologies Privacy Notice for New York City Residents is an Addendum to the Dell Technologies Privacy Notice for Job Applicants and is applicable to New York City residents whose personal information is processed by Dell Technologies and or its affiliated companies (“Dell”; “we”) pursuant to New York City’s Local Law 144- Automated Employment Decision Tools (“AEDT”) (the “Law”)

Profiling and Automated Decision-Making

Dell may deploy specific Automated Employment Decision Tools (“AEDT”) technologies for the purposes of enabling global-level recruiting where permitted by applicable law. Dell does not make any automated decisions in relation to your application for employment without human involvement. In addition, if you require a disability accommodation, please click here.

Data Types Collected for the AEDT

The following data types, also known as data elements, may be collected, and processed by AEDT technology:

  • Your employment application information including, although not limited to:
    • Your prior employment history;
    • Your education, training, certifications, technical test results, transcription, writing samples, and other necessary pre-employment tests;
    • Your eligibility for the job description/positions you may apply for;
    • Your LinkedIn profile and/or other social media information you have provided;
    • Your contact information, including name, phone, and email required to arrange an interview;
    • Your eligibility to work in the United States; and
    • Any other information you choose to provide as part of your application.

Dell will keep your personal information for as long as necessary in connection with the purposes described within the Dell Technologies Privacy Notice for Job Applicants and in accordance with Dell’s retention policy and applicable law. Dell may share your information with third party service providers that provide AEDT services to us; however, before we do so, we shall take the necessary steps to ensure that your personal information is given adequate protection as required by applicable data privacy laws and Dell’s internal policies.
