If so, Dell Boomi is looking for a Director of Engineering to innovate and deliver enterprise application services on the Boomi integration platform. The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership, management and technology skills, along with a history of success in high-growth companies developing enterprise software. Essential to the success of this leader will be the ability to lead multiple distributed engineering teams and deliver on aggressive and deeply technical product road maps.
Lead multiple engineering teams for various Integration services - including iPaaS, B2B, Connectivity and Runtime services - to execute on product strategy and direction to further our market leadership.
Manage, mentor and coach first line managers and individual contributors, hiring and retaining A-level talent.
Develop the team’s domain expertise, technical proficiencies and professional growth, to maintain the highest level of engineering standards.
Develop a progressive engineering culture that fosters creativity, collaboration and continuous learning/growth mindset.
Champion agile and lean principles promoting ownership and alignment to company goals.
Work with product management, platform architecture and other engineering managers to shape our vision for the next-level of our services.
Provide strategic leadership and hands-on technical oversight to the engineering teams, with a customer first and data-driven mindset.
Implement an API-first architecture to enhance our platform-driven extensibility to meet growing, global enterprise customer needs with new emerging technologies.
Deliver features at a rapid cadence, while maintaining the ability to quickly rollback or remediate releases to ensure highest availability for customers.
Enable service operational aspects with Site Reliability Engineering teams to ensure scalability, performance, resiliency, availability, and maintainability; to ensure the best customer experience as well as employee quality of life.
Deliver roadmap and customer success operational updates using actionable metrics to highlight execution progress and impediments.
Own business outcomes.
Requirements for Success
15+ years of Software Development experience, delivering true PaaS or SaaS services with increasing scope of responsibilities.
Proven track record of executing projects with major business impacts. Knack for delivering business value iteratively to delight customers in a continuous fashion.
Strong enterprise Integration domain knowledge, with a good understanding of adjacent markets that are impacting the integration space.
Proven experience leading high performance, distributed engineering teams.
Technical knowledge to provide credible hands-on management to highly qualified engineers and deliver on aggressive, deeply technical roadmaps.
Unafraid to try new technologies, arbitrate complex technical discussions, and make challenging decisions.
Experience running mission critical systems at scale in the cloud. Hands on experience in accelerated and automated app dev, CI/CD, DevOps principles, framework and tools to simplify development via true agile/lean principles.
Effective leadership, change management, project management, influencing and decision making skills. Strategic thinker with strong executive and operational skills.
~25% travel domestic / international (post-COVID era).
