The Federal Division Pursuit Lead is a unique business development role in our Americas Theater. In this role, you will have the opportunity to enable our Sales Support Teams, Strategically Aligned Businesses, and Partners to differentiate the sales experience and seamlessly lead our Customer’s Digital Transformations with solutions that consume the Dell Technologies and Services Portfolios. You will work in a fast-paced; challenging environment leading these cross functional teams to:
  1. Assist with Customer demand generation planning and coordinate with Solution Practice Lead(s) for Solution Principal sales support for demand generation and service selling activities within the Federal Division
  2. Assess Customer internal, vertical and industry obstacles, and translate their requirements into quantifiable value-based business outcomes.
  3. Create innovative proposals with fresh ideas and concepts, staying abreast or ahead of market trends, supported by clear statements of work leveraging the following high level portfolio of services:



Our Customer base in the Federal Division of the Americas Theater includes some of the largest Aerospace, Financial Services, Healthcare, Department of Defense, Intelligence Community, Department of Justice, Civilian Agencies, Science and Technologies, Tribal, and Systems Integrators in the world. You will have the opportunity to present to some of the greatest minds in the IT industry. Success requires a dynamic, hard-working, professionally mature, and technology savvy individual who has demonstrated an ability to lead based on experience, knowledge, passion and competence.






Education, Experience & Preferred / Desired Skills (Continued)
  • Understand some of the following modern technologies and concepts:
    • Emerging private / public / hybrid Cloud technologies and services for “IT-as-a-Service”:
      • Converged and hyper-converged infrastructure platforms (i.e. Blocks, Racks, and Rails)
      • IT automation, orchestration, and operations software (i.e. VMware vRealize Suite, Red Hat OpenStack)
      • Self-service portals (i.e. SharePoint, ServiceNow, Remedy, etc.)
      • Public cloud service providers (i.e. AWS, Azure, vCloud Air) for “X-as-a-Service”
    • Transformation, modernization or technology refresh projects of data center, IT infrastructure, and business resilient enterprise architecture components preferred including:
      • Facilities, network, security, and directory services
      • Storage, compute, and virtual infrastructures
      • Data protection and replication solutions
      • Application workload and data migrations, tools, and best practices from legacy to modernized platforms
    • Operating model concepts (i.e. ITIL) and industry best practices (i.e. IT service strategy, pricing and chargeback models, and organization design, as well as business case and roadmaps)
    • Application business rationalization, disposition, and workload placement concepts and best practices
    • Application development, migration, replatforming, or data archiving / retrieval with modern concepts (DevOps, Micro-Services, Agile, Continuous Delivery, etc.) and technologies (i.e. Pivotal Cloud Foundry, Jenkins, Chef / Puppet, InfoArchive, etc.) for private or public Cloud Native environments
    • Big Data business concepts (data monetization, "right-time" analysis, predictive and prescriptive analytics, etc.), best practices (i.e. elastic architecture, single data lake repository, data governance strategy and stewardship, self-service analytics environment provisioning of tools and data, etc.) and technologies (i.e. Hadoop, Spark, Tableau, Python, Pig, Hive, Splunk, Storm, GemFire, etc.)
