Cybersecurity Principal Consultant

What you’ll achieve

As a Cybersecurity Principal Consultant, you will be leading engagements with our customers to evaluate their technical and operational risks in their Cybersecurity program, develop and review strategies, policies, and roadmaps to implement best practices and meet organizational goals and security compliance.

You will:

  • Contribute to the development of client Cybersecurity strategies, policies, and best practices through participation in up front consulting work and planning and design meetings

  • Serve as a project lead, drive high quality delivery experience for customers including excellent documentation, oral and presentation skills

  • Lead comprehensive assessments to identify existing security programs, vulnerabilities and emerging attack vectors covering infrastructure, cloud, resiliency, data, devices, applications, and user access management

  • Understand customers strategic goals, business, and technology challenges quickly and guide customers to adopt modern effective security solutions

  • Assist organizations in establishing near term goals and prioritized milestones for their cybersecurity program. Factoring in the people, process and technology aspects aligned to NIST Framework or CIS Controls

  • Work with a broad spectrum of customer stakeholders that own a shared Cybersecurity responsibility such as governance risk & compliance, security, application, infrastructure, engineering, operations and facilitate alignment on common goal and roadmap

Essential Requirements

  • 15+ years of professional experience in customer facing IT roles with a Bachelor’s degree or commensurate experience

  • 5+ years of experience performing security risk assessments and architecture reviews and providing guidance in Cybersecurity

  • Must have experience with at least one (1) and be familiar with at least two (2) of the following: PCI, DSS, NIST, CMMC, C2M2, HIPAA, CIS18

  • Robust technical knowledge of infrastructure security, design and monitoring including SIEM

  • Track record of helping customers meet Cybersecurity compliance to regulations, frameworks, and standards

  • Experience with modern security solutions such as AI/ML Security Analytics, Zero Trust, Threat modelling, Penetration testing and vulnerability management

  • Ability / willingness to travel up to 50% or more once pandemic conditions allow - 2 to 10 days per month on average

Desirable Requirements

  • Professional Cybersecurity Certifications such as CISSP, NCSP, Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH)

  • Passion for being a true “consultant”, driving change and transformation
