Role Overview:

The Director of Global Channel Sales is responsible for establishing sales through indirect channels such as Value Added Reseller (VAR), Distributors, Dealers, Alliances or Partners in the US and EMEA. They will be responsible for attaining team revenue and margin targets and driving channel sales strategies and channel sales promotion campaigns as well as ensuring brand values are maintained by Channel Partners. They will also provide direction, development and inspiration to team members and manages the hiring, staffing and maintaining of a diverse and effective workforce.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Directly oversees sales managers and their teams
  • Develops strategy based on executive leadership
  • Understands and implements strategic direction of Channel sales for field organization globally
  • Drives strategic account management and pipeline development and lead team’s business acumen and customer knowledge

Minimum Requirements:

  • Minimum 15 years of relevant experience working in a Channel organization specific to the reseller / var side of the business within Software or IT Services industry
  • Minimum 7 years diversified leadership in a channel organization planning, communication, organization and people motivation skill (or equivalent experience)
  • Minimum of 5 years leading a team of 5 or more channel account managers

Preferences:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience
  • Able to translate strategic objectives into business plan and assist with development of training and development plans for the organization
  • Expert understanding of customer/industry climate and high level of solutions and technical knowledge
