Job Role and Responsibilities:

Product Managers are the CEOs of their products and are responsible for defining, prioritizing,planningand driving the execution of the vision for their product lines. We possess an eye for business as well as engineering wherewithalto be able to strategize, drive and bring their product to market. We work extensively with customers while working cross functionally with Product Marketing, Engineering, Sales, Corporate Marketing and Alliance Partners to successfully prioritize features and develop the products that our customers need.

Our team is focused oninnovating and improvingourDigital Workspace Platform – Workspace ONEto providea world classend user experienceandmanagementsolution for mobile and desktopdevices.We workata high velocity to addressboth critical and strategic efforts from customers orour own organic development efforts.  The essential structure existsbut each PM is empowered to facilitate success and drive progresswithin a flexible framework.  

Specific responsibilitiesinclude:

  • Define and drive use cases, user personas, product features/requirements,roadmapsand release plans for product features

  • Identify a variety of customer needs across theend user computingenvironment, drive feature prioritization and work closely with engineering to deliver successful products

  • Lead the product feature planning process; ensure that the product set meets theminimum viablerequirementsacross stakeholders

  • Understand customer needs and requirements and represent themeffectively to other organizationsand your product management peers

  • Work closely with VMware customers, developers, and key VMware stakeholders including Engineering, Support/Services,User Experience,and Sales

  • Understand the market competition for the product set and develop product and competitive positioning

  • Define,trackand interpret key business metrics and drive activities which support continued deployment of applications

  • Support planning,executionand go-to-market

Required Skills

  • Second year MBA studentwith a BA/BS in Computer Scienceor equivalenttechnical knowledge

  • Relevant productexperience

  • Excellent written,verbal, and presentationcommunications skills, with the ability to translate technology features into business benefits

  • Aptitude to quickly come up to speed on new technology concepts andaddressable value markets

Preferred Skills:

  • Comfortablepresenting to customers, executives, and large audiences

  • Ability to make reasoned decisions in the face of ambiguity or imperfect data

  • Capable ofinfluencingpeople at all levels across a broad variety of job functions

  • Experience withenterprise softwareis desirable

  • Domain experience in device management or adjacent market

  • Knowledge of VMware products and virtualization

  • Strong team player and the capable of bringingtogether diverse views

  • Passionate about technology and have a strong commitment to advance the state of IT
