Role Overview

A great Sales Development Representative (SDR) is key to the success of our strategic initiative in the MSSP space. The SDR will be responsible for refining successful MSSP partner selection criteria, initial partner prospect identification, and excelling at the following recruiting motion activities: initiating prospect relationships via outbound efforts, enabling value driven conversations, driving partner prospect interest throughout the early stages of the recruiting cycle and partnering with the senior program team to bring the best prospects into the program.

Role Responsibilities

  • Work with strategic leadership to finalize partner selection criteria
  • Identify best target prospects based upon selection criteria
  • Participate in cold-call, electronic, and social media prospecting
  • Initiate, maintain and master on-going relationships via telephone with each prospect
  • Manage a pipeline of inbound and self-sourced leads to identify, engage, and develop relationships with potential MSSP partners
  • Utilize CRM to ensure activities are documented, opportunities are forecasted, and information about the prospect and/or opportunity is communicated
  • Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual recruitment targets

Minimum Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a team-oriented environment
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in channel sales / inside sales / lead generation
  • Strong ability and awareness to grasp complex, sophisticated solution service sales processes and position effectively to prospects
  • Ability, passion, and desire to conduct outbound telephone activities on an everyday basis

Preferred Skills

  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher
  • 2 years of experience in phone-based channel sales / inside sales / lead generation
