Join us as a Principal Solution Architect on our Telecom Services team in USA, working Remotely, to do the best work of your career and make a profound social impact.

You will be working on Dell’s Edge solutions to help enterprises deploy 5G/MEC uses case that will drive substantial value and business outcomes.  This role requires deep understanding of IOT Edge engineering spanning devices, gateways, connectivity and security layers across  smart manufacturing, automotive, energy/utilities, industrial ecosystem.

What you’ll achieve

This individual will be responsible to define Telecom Systems Business services requirements with product management & engineering to deliver managed services (design-integrate-deploy-operate) for Dell’s MEC as-a-service solutions.

This position requires in-depth technical knowledge of Industrial IoT Edge solutions and overview of private networks based on 3GPP/ETSI/MEC specifications

You will:

  • Define tools, processes, and resources to deliver end-to-end (RAN/Core/MEC/Vertical Applications/FCAPs) solutions for an enterprise or a CSP
  • Define requirements for Industrial IoT application partners in protocols including MQTT, PLC/CNC, SCADA, REST, AMQP, WebSocket, Modbus, OAM-DM, OPC/UA, Zigbee and more
  • Develop end-to-end Edge solution architecture for IoT based business solutions spanning devices, gateways, connectivity and security layers, addressing functional and non-functional aspects
  • Design custom and standard managed services offering ( ROM/BOM/Pricing) for Dell’s TSB solutions
  • Support sales teams in customer engagement/discussions for RFx’s and SOW

Essential Requirements

  • 10 + years of relevant experience with bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent
  • Demonstrated knowledge in developing end-to-end management solution for 1 or more of an Edge application (Industrial IoT, Smart Manufacturing, AR/VR, Video Surveillance, etc.)
  • Experience in either of PTC Thing Worx or  Litmus Edge any other IoT cloud along with Network technologies protocols including MQTT, REST, AMQP, HTPS, WebSocket, Modbus, OAM-DM, OPC/UA, Zigbee, LoRa, BLE, NB-IoT
  • Passionate about the Internet of Things, Cloud Technologies, Micro-services, DevOps technologies, AI/ML/Analytics
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment; Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; Team member with collaborative skills and attitude; Out of the box thinker integrating available assets to form solutions for the telecom services’ business requirements; previous start up experience is a plus

Desirable Requirements

  • Experience in working on M2M communication in IoT Context is a plus
  • Experience with NCITs, monitoring equipment, communication gateways e.g. Ability Edge Gateway, and supervision products (SCADA, CMMS, PLC, Historian) is a plus
  • Edge, and Cloud Technology competencies e.g. Docker, multi-tenancy, REST API, Web-Protocols, HTML5, Demonstrated programming depth in Python, C# / Java, Kubernetes and Grafana is a plus
  • Experience with MEP, MEC-Orchestrator, OSS/BSS implementation and operations experience with all aspects of FCAPS Data for enterprise application is a plus
  • Experience with some of open source tools such as Kafka, Prometheus, Grafana, Fluent, Jaager, Elastic, Kibana NIFI, Thanos, Ceph (among others) is a plus
