What you’ll achieve

As a Technical Marketing Consultant, you will apply your deep technical expertise and extensive industry experience to formulate messaging strategies and develop new business opportunities supporting multiple lines of business, and our sales makers. In this global position you will have a direct impact on how our products are technically viewed in market - thereby impacting sales and customer satisfaction.

You will:

  • Supports our Product teams with use case technical content on functional features/workflow requirements by ISV application(s)
  • Will be responsible for developing and running standard benchmarks performance analysis and interpreting results to build technical documents for product positioning
  • Develops, maintains, and manages the recommendation guides/advisors/tools
  • Develops internal & external technical materials for workstations and Rugged products/solutions
  • Performs benchmarking and competitive testing
  • Develops technical whitepapers
  • Provides technical training for sales makers
  • Speaks as a technical authority at ISV conferences
  • Collaborate and coordinate with a diverse set of teams across Dell Technologies, including product teams, partner/channel to create an end-to-end solution marketing message.
  • Create high-impact internal and customer-facing materials that clearly communicate the value and unique advantage of offerings.
  • Understand market trends and the details of the market, as well as being the expert on competition

Essential Requirements

  • Experience in product development/management, marketing: assessing market requirements, investigating new technologies, developing recommendations for technical product direction
  • 5 to 8 years of related experience
  • Good understanding of the competition, and the ISV solutions landscape  
  • Ability to work on own — a self-starter with a high sense of urgency and entrepreneurial spirit
  • Strong management and relationship skills and high ability to influence in a matrix environment
  • Exceptional project and time management skills, with a strong attention to detail and capability to juggle multiple programs


Desirable Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, or business
  • Master’s degree desirable
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience speaking/presenting to stakeholders
