IT Infrastructure Senior Consultant

We’re a team of experts optimizing the performance and integrity of IT infrastructure and ensuring consistency and synchronization across all infrastructure components. Alongside supporting new and existing applications, we work with other IT groups and business units to troubleshoot and resolve technical problems. Key Responsibilities:
Design and deliver the next generation compute platform supporting the Dell Digital Cloud. Your expertise will drive our team forward and you will provide expert analysis and consultation with your peers in Storage, Networking and security disciplines to solve unique and interesting problems.

You will:

  • Design and deliver high performance computer services, including High-availability and Disaster recovery infrastructure.

  • Ensure availability and security of critical compute services

  • Own, manage and influence the future life-cycle of the compute platform working with lead architect to future proof standards and hardware.

  • Work hand in hand with security and the business to create baselines, security templates, security policies that conform to NIST 800.171 guidelines and CMMC requirements

    Essential Requirements

  • At least 15 years of experience with complex enterprise compute environments

  • Expert knowledge with VMware platform and associated products

  • Deep understanding and proficiency with IP networking systems including switching, routing and DNS

  • Understanding of core security principles and practices; proven track record managing security vulnerabilities

    Desirable Requirements

  • Hands-on, administrative level experience with multiple network and platform operating systems including, but limited to: Windows server, Linux/Unix, Kubernetes, Cloud Foundry, Avamar, Networker, Data Domain, NSX, vSAN, vSphere, UCS, PowerEdge, NAS, SAN, NFS, CIFS, FC, iSCSI, XtremIO, VNX, Unity, VMAX, VRA and current Dell cloud technologies
