Telco Solutions Support - Senior Engineer is committed to developing solutions for service providers globally and integrating the breadth of the Dell Technologies portfolio for these solutions.  Our team members combine technical knowledge with broad business development capabilities and Service Provider background to drive adoption of solutions with our customers & partners globally, showcasing excellence and innovation at every stage.

You will be responsible for providing technical sales support to close deals for Telco focused opportunities. This role is a direct support role to provide deep technical collaboration with potential customers for solutions in the Telco domain such as private mobility, Software Defined – Wide Area Networking (SD-WAN), Multi-access Edge Compute (MEC), and connected devices. Using a wealth of sales and industry experience, we work across functional areas to promote adoption of our co-developed solutions.

Responsibilities / Expectations:

  • Support sales for Telco focused deals through deep Subject Matter Expertise (SME) by leading highly technical workshops and designing implementable solutions with potential customers

  • Collaborate with sales and customer on architectures and solutions to directly address customer needs

  • Primary reach-back support to core enterprise sales on technical aspects of Telco solutions

  • Architect, design and lead Proof of Concepts (POCs)

  • Understanding of the different types and models of service providers including Telecom, Cloud Service Provider, Systems Integrator, and Strategic Outsourcers

Essential Requirements:

  • 15+ years of experience in technical IT field

  • Experience with Technical Sales and Pre-Sales

  • Telco Cloud Technologies, Cloud Service Provider Technologies

  • Strong understanding of Service Provider market, requirements, technologies, drivers Storage Technologies

Technical Requirements:

  • Understanding of the selling motion for a consultative solution sale

  • Telco Technologies (NFV, OSS, BSS, SDWAN, 5G, ORAN, VRAN, etc.)

  • Cloud Technologies (Cloud, VMware, Automation, Multi-Tenancy, IaaS, PaaS, SaaS)

You will need to be able to work with counterparts globally and may require flexibility to suit the different time zones.
