Senior Sales Manager CEMEA, Cloud Health & Cloud Management

The regional Sr Manager of sales Cloud Management & Cloud Health for CEMEA is responsible for leading a team of sales specialists, dedicated to promote VMware’s Cloud Management & Cloud Health business in Central Europe, and develop the sales revenue on this business stream.  

The successful candidate will be joining a highly strategic Cloud business that is playing a critical role in shaping the VMware’s multi-cloud strategy as well as the transition to Subscription and SaaS. Therefore, we need a high-energy, hungry and creative sales leader who is eager to learn, help build and accelerate our company's growth and faster the Cloud journey for VMware customers.

The successful candidate will be responsible for driving the business in the region, together with his/her counter-part SE leader.

Big focus on ensuring the day to day execution of the sale team, supporting and driving the Cloud strategy, partnering with different stakeholders, internally and externally as well as ensuring a collaborative, creative and inclusive environment with particular attention to personal and career development of the team.

Furthermore, ideal candidate must be able to hire, motivate, develop, coach, mentor and retain Cloud passionate people, as well as manage the broad ecosystem of resources (both technical and people) to drive customer success as well as financial performance. 

In addition to managerial responsibilities, the candidate will also be required to assume good sales orchestration, well position his/her teams in the large extended Sales Management & Territories across the CEMEA Region.

A good knowledge of the CEMEA market, customer habits & potential is therefore key to succeed in this role, as a relevant and recognised cloud management & SaaS experience.

Job Responsibilities:

Accountable for achieving revenue consumption targets for VMware Cloud Management & Cloud Health solutions.

  • Manage day-to-day operations and strategy of the CEMEA sales organization, setting expectations and ensuring goals are being met.
  • Manage a team’s quota attainment, provide guidance and leadership to ensure success, and close high-profile business directly (as needed).
  • Participate in a weekly forecasting process to provide visibility to VMware’s leadership of sales pipeline status and potential to achieve target bookings, as well as upside and downside risks to achieving target bookings.

Develop and execute strategies to increase revenue growth with existing International customers, Partners and MSPs

-Consultative sales experience especially around the adoption of cloud services in the infrastructure space.

-Identify high propensity customers.

-Drive increased monthly recurring revenue (MRR).

-Lead qualification for all the leads and sales opportunities for Cloud Services within your territory

Team alignment & orchestration:

-Collaborate and build positive relationships with core Field and Partner sales leaders to ensure proper engagement with core teams and customers. Leverage the SE organization for desired results at top accounts.

-Take the role of a highly trusted individual who maintains and expects high standards for self and team

-Work across multi-functions/multi-individuals to achieve desired results.

-Partner closely with the Sales Leaders to ensure that Partner and Inside Sales teams are providing sufficient support and on-track to contribute to achieving bookings and pipeline goals.

-Identify and make improvements in process, efficiency, enablement, and productivity.

-Attend sales meetings, partner training, meet-ups, and local trade shows to keep current with technology and expand CloudHealth & Cloud Management Technologies' network.

Management

-Build and manage international sales team by recruiting, hiring, training, mentoring, coaching and managing the performance of Account Executives across the region.

-Schedule and manage in person and virtual meetings using GoToMeeting, Skype, Google Hangouts, etc.

Requirements

  • Around 10+ years of sales experience in the IT industry, with Enterprise software and hosted service, with SaaS or Cloud deep experience
  • Strong knowledge of the IT hosting and cloud services segment.
  • Experience with new product introductions. Self-starter mentality as someone who is resourceful, adaptable, and creative, with a solid understanding of technical sales methodology.
  • Professional business acumen, self-starter and results-driven personality with the ability to adapt to varying international sales cultures, styles and processes.
  • Strategic thinker with a sales mentality.
  • Contract negotiation and deal forecasting experience.
  • Strong leadership and Customer Relationship skills.
  • Proven track record of successfully building, training, motivating and growing domestic sales teams to reach and exceed sales goals.
