Advisor, HR Generalist

The Advisor, HR Generalist is a member of Dell’s APJ TMSD team.  The Advisor has good knowledge of HR policy and process to provide exceptional advice and counsel to employees. The Advisor takes the lead in the investigative process and should, therefore, have significant expertise in conducting workplace investigations.  This individual will also need the ability to influence all levels of the organization and effectively handle volatile conflict situations that could have high organizational impact.  This individual is also involved in the development, planning, implementation and administration of employee relations policies and procedures. 

Role Responsibilities

  • Collaborates with HR and Non-HR functions to provide HR solution

  • Works on abstract and complex problems requiring evaluation of intangible variables

  • Manages employee grievance administration process

  • Coaches local HR and leadership in labor relations trends, issues and techniques to promote positive employee relations

  • Partners with local HR team, building local capability to address day to day employee issues

  • Consults with leadership on labor relations, employee relations, equal employment opportunity, affirmative action, diversity, and compensation issues as well as ensure that all human resources practices are compliant with regulatory requirements, internal policies, labor contracts, and relevant statutes

  • Ensures that local legal requirements are met in terms of employee relations to minimize exposure to liability.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and work experience

  • Demonstrated expertise in conducting workplace investigations

  • Advanced understanding of APJ/local Employment Law

  • Advanced knowledge of employee relations practices

  • Advanced interpersonal and conflict resolution skills

  • Advanced communication and presentation skills

  • Advanced influencing skills

  • Advanced negotiation and facilitation skills and the ability to provide meaningful recommendations to senior leadership in a variety of areas.
