Our Material Planning team provides a controlled flow of materials to meet production requirements. We produce detailed schedules, adapting them if necessary to meet backlogs or material shortages, as well as material requirement lists and production plans that balance the demand and supply position of platforms and commodities to optimize product availability and cost. We’re experts at resolving problems with inventory, production schedules or material shortages and recommending procedures to avoid future problems.

Essential Requirements

• Reporting to Senior Director, GPP Nerve Center  

• The role has dual responsibilities; ODM Ops Planning or ODM Order Management or ODM Production Control, plus act as Strategist for GPP Nerve Center
• ODM Ops Planning:
• Responsible for ODM capacity planning for WW Client (Notebook/Desktop/Tablet/IoT) demand
• Plan rolling 13 weeks of sales, build and ship planning for multiple fulfillment models i.e. Configure-to- Order (CTO), Build-to-Plan (BTP), and Build-to-Stock (BTS)
• Work on Ship Planning simulation to forecast ODM shuttle/ships for 13weeks rolling
• Drive process improvements in the ship planning process
• Ensure enough capacity in all factories to meet global ship targets
• Work across functions and regional teams in the Americas, EMEA, and APJ to establish ship plan outlook
• Identify ODM factory equipment line requirements and work with ODMs to secure the right equipment capacity to meet the demand 
• Plan and negotiate ODM factory staffing capacity to fulfill on-time customer delivery and cycle-time
• Manage and execute product transition planning through close collaboration with Core Team on supportability – Launch, Sustain & EOL
• Coordinate with Regional Supply Chain Planning (DAO, EMEA & APJ) on-demand phasing (pull-in or push-out) requirements based on ODM factory capacity situation
• Proactively manage product lead-time recommendation to Regional Supply Chain Planning
• Manage and drive ODM facility start-up & shutdown
• Drive key metrics like forecast accuracy, capacity utilization, and on-time performance (OTP) 
• ODM Order Management
• Expedite & manage customer escalations for all supply chains (BTO, FDD, Retail, Channel & BTS) with ODMs 
• Govern & drive the right part lead-time for ODMs
• Lead North America Retail (BTP) & BTS Operation Centers plus FGA Direct
• Manage EOQ & IDC Script to max out IDC / EOQ invoiced Ships
• Drive Retail (BTP) & BTS MABD Hub performance
• Manage PP Order Flow for all supply chains - Illegal Orders, PO NACK, GPO download & Order Re-assignment 
• Control EOQ Shuttle & FG Inventory
• Participate in Global Event Management
• ODM Production Control
• Prioritize, execute & track orders for all supply chains (BTO, FDD, Retail, Channel & BTS) with ODMs to meet customer commits & optimize IDC / EOQ invoiced ships 
• Expedite orders for all supply chains for ODM sites 
• Lead & drive MFG Late / Delinquency / Original MSBD performance to meet customer commits & exceed cNPS
• Coordinate logistics pick-up & uplift, consolidated container & utilization and network optimization 
• Manage IP Factory Backlog
• Budget and manage teardown cost
• Roll out innovative technology and business optimization models that increase supply chain capabilities

Desirable Requirements

• Bachelor of Supply Chain, Business, Science or equivalent with a minimum of 10-15 years experience with Global Supply Chain Management 
• Aspire to be a People Manager and lead a team of supply chain professionals within 1 to 2 years’ time
• Knowledge of Original Design Manufacturers (ODMs) Notebook Supply Chain encompassing Ops Planning, Order Management, and Production Control
• A proven and independent leader with the ability to influence outcomes with stakeholders and partners in an ambiguous environment 
• A transformational leader with a proven track record of leading Global Programs and delivering breakthrough outcomes 
• Team player who can work across organizational boundaries 
• Excellent communicator who is fluent in English; both verbal and written
• The ability to converse in Mandarin is essential  
• Master of Supply Chain, Business, Science, and equivalent will be an added advantage
• Strong data management and analytical skills are essential
• Ability to take night calls as this role will need to work with global stakeholders.  
• High adaptability to changing requirements, market dynamics, and work demands 
• Competent with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Words, and PowerPoint)
