When you’re creating technology for a changing world, you need to know where you stand in terms of your inventory. Our Inventory Management team within Materials and Procurement takes charge of the security and accountability of our inventory by documenting transactions, verifying processes and procedures and reviewing systems. We conduct physical inventories and lead cycle counts, correcting discrepancies where possible. We also audit incoming and outgoing shipments to ensure quality and accuracy.

The Inventory Management team play a huge part in the protection of Dell’s physical assets & the integrity of it’s Financial/Inventory system of record. The primary function of this role is to perform system to system reconciliation between Dell & our 3PL inventory systems of record at a transactional level to understand any variance. The Inventory Management Analyst will report to the Dell Penang Inventory Management Senior manager. This role will cover Inventory management at the following businesses - Fulfillment Logistics, Reverse Logistics & Original design manufacturers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Reconciliations and ad hoc inventory adjustments completed in a timely manner to support inventory accuracy quarterly.

  • Independently performs analytics, gathers insights, and leverages digital technology to identify issues and risk; works with cross functional stakeholders to resolve issue

  • Ensure that appropriate root cause and corrective actions are driven to reduce variation in reported inventory balances.

  • Provides governance and controllership to minimize financial impact, and to provides recommendations through factual analysis and provides executive level presentations

  • Drives compliance with Dell Technologies inventory control policy & standards, Plans and leads audits and drives corrective actions, proposes innovative solutions, identifies potential efficiency gains and designs automation to increase team effectiveness

Essential Requirements:

  • Pursuit of Bachelor’s in Business Mathematic, Big data analytic, Statistics, Management Mathematics with Computing, Operation management, or other applicable fields.

  • Strong in Communication and Collaboration, advance in analytical skill. Ability to perform data queries and analytical procedure to large datasets.

  • Strong in Computer Skill with critical thinking and problem solving

  • Self-directed and independent when completing business objectives

  • Preferred with at least relevant 5+ years of experience in related experience with a Bachelor Degree.
