Channel Sales Account Executive

Join us as a VMware Channel Sales Business Development Manager on our Outside Sales team in Remote - California to work with multiple partners in the West Division and do the best work of your career and make a profound social impact.


What you’ll achieve
As a VMware Channel BDM, you will manage existing channel partners, working to identify and qualify mutually rewarding sales activities, strategies and business opportunities.


You will:
• Support regional and national channel partners, integrating with Dell’s channel teams to drive revenue to meet our annual operating plan

• Drive channel day-to-day relationships with our channel partners, ensuring high satisfaction with our program and solutions and lead efforts to develop joint business plans between VMware, Dell and partners
• Fully understand how our business model relates to selling our VMware-Dell products and joint solutions, being the main point of contact
• Resolve or escalate any partner concerns as appropriate

• Activate and enable Dell partners on VMware solutions and grow VMware share of wallet within the channel

Essential Requirements
• 8 to 10 years of similar experience working with the Channel or in a relationship-selling role
• Excellent oral and written communication skills to communicate with customers, leadership and to support other team members

• Excellent critical thinking skills and ability to manage complex selling scenarios

• Ability to travel locally and regionally up to 20%, COVID permitting
• Knowledge of the Dell and/or VMware channel ecosystem and products


Desirable Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree
• Field sales experience, preferably in the IT industry
