5G NR Radio Software Developer
Will be remote until our facilities re-open in Ottawa

If you’re interested in taking part in a once in a career opportunity, Dell is looking for a Radio Software Developerwith experience in Radio development, to be part of a brand new, built from the ground up, high powered Ottawa R&D team. The team will be responsible for designing, developing and implementing a technology new to Dell for addressing the demands of the 5G Radio subsystem for operators and to help our customers to exploit this significant market evolution. The candidate for this role will have work experience in Software Development using a general-purpose programming language.
Key Responsibilities Include:
Contribute designs, software, and test solutions for a 5G NR Remote Radio Unit
Collaborate on tools and methodologies
Collaborate on software characterization and optimization
Collaborate in the integration of radio software and radio hardware, as well as integration of the radio unit (RU) and distribution unit (DU)
Essential Skills and Expertise/Experience
Effective team player, willingness to help build a collaborative and trusting community
Desire to learn and innovate while building quality product
Knowledge of professional software engineering and best practices for the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control, build processes, testing and operations
Experience throughout the full software development lifecycle, from conception, architecture definition, detailed design, scoping, planning, implementation, testing to documentation, delivery and maintenance
Proficient in object-oriented design skills, application architecture and design patterns
Familiarity with embedded systems design and low-level hardware interactions
Experience in C and C++11, with knowledge of standard library, STL containers/algorithms.
Knowledge of Linux kernels and components
Minimum Experience and Education
3+ years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and work experience. Typically requires diversified Software Development, Test, Algorithms,Tools, and Methodologies
