The PMAX CEE Software Engineering team help deliver next-generation enterprise storage products and enhancement of existing products for a changing world. Working at the cutting edge, we design and develop software solutions to complex customer issues to meet their critical business needs — all with the most advanced technologies, tools, software engineering methodologies and the collaboration of internal and external partners.

What you’ll achieve
As a Software Engineer, you will be responsible for developing complex software solutions, written in C, to aid in the recovery and serviceability of the PMAX product as well as contributing to new feature development to ensure that we are delivering quality features with the customer the forefront of everything.

You will:

·        Assist in the development of new features and evolution of the current PMAX Microcode code base based on past customer experiences.

·        Where applicable and with guidance, design, code, test and document changes to the code and be accountable for QA test cycle code validation through triage activities.

·        Perform detailed root-cause analysis of critical events, with guidance where required. Assist with full scale customer recreations and help to develop fixes to resolve the underlying issue.

·        Assist with resolving real-time customer issues, using advanced debug techniques and in depth code analysis.

Essential Requirements

·2-5 years’ experience as a storage admin and/or troubleshooting/bug fixing experience

·Knowledge and hands on experience of EMC Storage architecture, specific PMAX knowledge a plus

·In-depth SAN and FC/SCSI knowledge including Knowledge of FC Login Process with general knowledge and application of software engineering processes

·Very good problem solving/ analytical skills with ability to learn independently and within a global team environment

·Excellent communication skills to report on progress and challenges and to drive change



Desirable Requirements

·The ability to read and understand complex, large scale C/C++ code with experience debugging and writing bug fixes for real-time embedded systems, distributed systems, and/or fault-tolerant system environments with strong in Operating System concepts, Data Structures, and system programming

·Bachelor’s degree
