Our Import-Export team within Materials and Procurement provides trade compliance support for end-to-end order management and delivery processes. We’re experts in what we do, from assessing global trade risk and providing mitigation strategies, to delivering strategic and tactical support in developing international supply chains, to implementing strategies to reduce import expenses and auditing all documentation.

What you’ll achieve

The individual at this position should be an action orientated person with a good communication skill, and could make reasonable judgement on business situations.  

The individual will be supporting the China and Japan native language screening activities, be acting as one of the key point of contacts with internal business stakeholders on resolving potential compliance matters, on the other hand, interacting with trade legal and global export team to ensure the compliance policies and requirements are properly implemented.

You will:

- Act as the Point of Contact (POC) for the China & Japan native language screening activities within the APJ trade compliance team

-Exercise reasonable research and analysis to perform RPL screening activities, and provide resolutions for the soft hits based on the applicable policies, regulations and laws

- Interacting, coordinating with internal business stakeholders, including but not limited to sales, sales ops, service, technical support, global commend center to respond the various business needs in order to release orders that are on trade compliance hold while ensure compliance

-Ensure all required documents & records are properly retained

-Execute the trade compliance processes and procedures as set by the trade legal and global trade organization

-Essential Requirements

- Education: Graduate degree required

- Minimal of 3-5 years in related working experience in a major corporation, or Consultancy firm

-Fluent in Japanese in both writing and speaking is required, good writing and speaking English is a plus and preferred

Desirable Requirements

- The ability to work independently from broad guidelines and perform under detailed instruction on specific initiatives

-Able to pay attention to details and customer focus mindset

-The ability to function both as a team and individual player with the ability to shift priorities as required by the global trade compliance team and business operations.

-Good analytical skill

-Excellent in MS Office applications, including Excel, Word and PowerPoint
