The Software Engineering team delivers next-generation software application enhancements and new products for a changing world. Our Software Engineers create solutions. As part of the team, you will analyse the customer’s business goals, needs and general business environment to build technical system answers.
As a Quality Automation Engineer, you will be responsible for understanding the product, and simulate the complex customer use cases and automate them in the pipeline and maintain the quality gates for the enterprise-class product testing.
Working with the development team to underpin their quality performance. You will be responsible for administering, maintaining and extending the capabilities of the Flow application CI Automation system. We believe in the DevOps culture. This means you will support changes all the way through to operating successfully in production at scale working alongside the TechOps team.
The QA automation engineer has QA, technical and project expertise, and works to drive and support quality. They plan and execute tests that build confidence and reduce risk. They support high priority features whilst ensuring timely delivery. They communicate issues with efficiency and clarity. The QA automation engineer understands web/cloud-native architectures and other key architecture concepts.
As part of the development team, you will be involved in both design and development time, to assist the team in defining test requirements, and developing them in a suitable way for CI implementation, you will be required to champion new ways to automate routine testing and analyze test results, extend our API testing to take advantage of best-in-class tools and techniques and maintain and extend the use of static analysis tools to improve code quality.
Participate in the preparation, review and evaluation of software/storage requirements and specifications
Prepare written specifications from verbal requirements for tasks of mid-level complexity
Prepare design, functional, technical and/or user documentation, as needed
Use defined software lifecycle methodologies
Review and implement test strategies for software products
With recent experience in Quality Assurance and building test automation for continuous integration of dynamic web applications integrated with HTTP RESTful API using JSON, you will have the following skills:
Good knowledge of programming languages; operating systems; firmware; BIOS; device drivers; databases; system, network, operating system, and application administration; embedded software/firmware; tools and utilities, as applicable
Ability to code/debug moderately complex programs using either written or verbal design specifications
Advanced understanding of hardware and software interactions
Knowledge of software architectures and applications
Knowledge of server, storage, networking and client technologies
Selenium, Cucumber, DevOps CI/CD
Linux/Unix, AWS, Docker, Git
React, Vue.js, Angular or other Browser SPA Framework
Related experience with a Bachelor’s degree; or an advanced degree without experience; or equivalent experience
SQL (Preferably Postgres)
C#, .Net, Java, Go
Kubernetes, Docker, Ansible/Terraform or other configuration management tools
