Role Overview

Reporting to the EMEA Field Marketing lead, the individual in this role will be responsible for planning, developing and executing programmes that increase sales growth and expand market share and brand awareness in the DACH region. We are growing quickly in the region and a “start-up” mentality will be required.

Candidates will have strong experience across the marketing promotion mix, with particular emphasis on partner and channel marketing, as well as a good understanding of the marketing lifecycle and a keen focus on driving revenue and growth.

Ideal candidates are also self-motivated with the ability to excel in a fast-paced, global environment.


  • Drive net new revenue growth through defined Demand Marketing programmes
  • Support indirect revenue growth through Channel activity with local partners and distributors (including Dell Technologies)
  • Target optimal engagement and revenue growth in target accounts through Account-Based Marketing (ABM) activities
  • Maximise customer value (retention and growth) and advocacy through Customer Marketing
  • Drive brand awareness and credibility in the focus go-to-market geographies through targeted PR and Communications programme
  • Provide insights on customers and the marketplace for regional & global teams to support programme development
  • Integrate & proactively contribute to strategic planning process to ensure local requirements are understood
  • Execute regional plan and programme tactics effectively to drive growth targets
  • Act as a key point of contact and subject matter expert to support and enable the go-to-market team
  • Manage and measure business impact of plan to demonstrate impact and ROI
  • Lead regional and cross-functional alignment and communications for key stakeholders and decision makers

Additional Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement new opportunity and pipeline acceleration programmes jointly with sales
  • Establish and maintain relationships with key channel partners in region to support the growth of the business
  • Liaise with Demand Generation Representatives (DGRs) and telemarketing partners driving leads and opportunities in region to ensure smooth handover to outside sales, timely lead follow up and optimum conversion to pipeline
  • Partner events, enablement, in partnership with Channel Account Manager and Channel Marketing Manager
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with counterparts across the Dell Technologies family, collaborating and driving shared activity where it meets our business objectives
  • Research, design and manage live events in collaboration with events team for target segments and regions to be included as tactics in the overall marketing mix, and ensure there is a cohesive pre-event, at-event and post-event strategy to increase engagement and response rates.
  • Proactively engage with EMEA Sales, Demand Generation and Event teams, Product Marketing and Comms. teams to manage, communicate, and optimise the impact of marketing activities
  • Evaluate, select and manage vendors that contribute to local demand creation programs including event venues and services, data brokers, industry associations
  • Communicate with and educate the sales team regarding new and planned marketing activities
  • Stay abreast of emerging digital technologies, approaches and strategies that drive revenue growth and marketing efficiencies
  • Collaborate with fellow segment marketers on joint initiatives, ideas, successes and process improvement
  • Create content for abstracts, on-site sales tools and win stories
  • Point of contact for sales segment for marketing requests and needs


  • Bachelor’s degree; Marketing or business related preferred
  • 5 to 10 years’ experience in B2B marketing; preferably in technology or software space
  • Fluent English and German speaker (essential)
  • Proven experience working with sales teams and supporting programmes to drive awareness and pipeline generation
  • Start-up mentality and can-do attitude
  • Experience of delivering META-wide marketing programmes and ability to demonstrate track record of success in all key areas of responsibility
  • Strong consultative marketing approach in order to effectively engage with sales
  • Collaborative and highly motivated individual who thrives in a fast-paced team environment and can readily adapt to changing market and organisational requirements
  • Ability to consistently produce results on time and within budget
  • Ability to align tactical plans with strategies
  • Understanding of buyer personas and buyer journey
  • Excellent at multi-tasking, and comfortable prioritising competing deadlines
  • Excellent writing/communication skills and experience building content for sales tools and demand generation programmes
  • Experience with marketing automation platforms is preferred – e.g. Marketo
  • Project management capabilities - driving projects from inception to completion
  • Working with Senior stakeholders across sales and other business functions
  • Experience building consensus with cross-functional teams
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills is a must


  • Marketing or business-related degree
  • Experience in the Security or IT industry
  • Masters’ Degree or Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM) background
