Principal Supplier Process Engineer

Working closely with our product developers, we select and monitor vendors and suppliers who can meet our high engineering and quality standards. In addition, we perform regular auditing and undertake design and development engineering assignments to develop new products or update existing products. We’re also experts in establishing systems and procedures to enhance overall quality.

What you’ll achieve
As a Principal Supplier Process Engineer, you will be responsible for works closely with suppliers, sustaining groups and extended core team to ensure product producibility at the supplier. Assists to assure capacity and continuity of supply for specific components. Assists in excursion management through root cause analysis. Drives implementation and validation of improvement/corrective actions.

Assists in excursion management through root cause analysis. Drives implementation and validation of improvement/corrective actions.
Provides recommendations and risk assessments on new suppliers and new process technology.
Responsible for PCBA NPI activities
Responsible for PCBA sustaining activities and process activities.
Responsible for driving the continuous improvement plan.
Works with the supplier to develop and implement the quality management plan using industry tools and standards to drive quality improvements and initiatives.
With no considerable direction, identifies and validates the mitigation plan of potential quality risks to supply chains in order to ensure continuity of supply while evaluating performance and providing feedback.
Interacts with management and senior customer personnel often in a project leadership role on matters requiring coordination across organizational lines. Assists in the development and administration of improvement programs for supplier/vendor while
educating them on the execution of quality tools, methodologies and requirements.
Drives the supplier/vendor for continuous quality improvement processes ensuring quality goals and expectations are met.
Provides guidance and assists in the development and implementation of effective structure and programs at supplier/vendor manufacturing facilities to support organizational expectations.
Provides guidance and works with functional teams in resolving quality issue and meet quality metrics.

Typically requires 8+ years of related experience( quality background and PCBA industry preferred) with a Bachelor’s degree; or 6+ years with a Master’s degree; or 3+ years with a PhD; or equivalent experience
Good understanding of global computer products and the peripherals industry
Various engineering discipline and PCBA manufacturing process knowledge
Advanced quality system and process auditor(QSA/QPA) experience
Detailed understanding of various quality and problem solving tool such as PFEMA, AQP, .7 steps, etc
Advanced command skills and working knowledge of statistical quality tools (SPC, 6 sigma, etc.)
General knowledge and application of engineering concepts
Fluent English writing and oral capability
