Typically works with Sales Management, Sales Operations, Training and Marketing to develop and implement programs to improve both the quality and quantity of sales activities and sales of company products during each stage of the customer buying process. Develops measurement models and uses diagnostic tools to help identify sales performance indicators, key areas of opportunity and sales force training needs. Recommends strategic priorities, establishes sales force performance metrics and sales effectiveness tracking methods in order to maintain and improve the company’s competitive advantage in the market. Evaluate and design sales incentive plans in line with analyses. Makes recommendations for allocating marketing and sales force resources, as well as promoting customer targeting activities and territory management.

Manages a team of managers
Develops management capabilities
Oversees the development of models and analytical tools that impact a geographic region
Ensures that systems and metrics are being deployed and used appropriately across the management team
Guides and deploys the strategic direction within the area of responsibility
Works across functions to ensure metrics and procedures are used effectively
Manages the implementation of regional training programs
Advanced knowledge of Six Sigma/LEAN (industry) activity
Advanced knowledge of sales planning and strategy
Typically 15+ years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and work experience
Typically requires 7+ years diversified leadership, planning, communication, organization and people motivation skill (or equivalent experience)
