Join us as a Sales Planning & Strategy Senior Consultant on our Sales Planning & Strategy team within our Telecom Systems Business, in REMOTE USA, preferring remote Dallas, Boston, San Francisco Bay Area, or Denver, to do the best work of your career and make a profound impact.


The telecommunications industry is going through a major transformation within its network driven by several technology shifts, including 5G, the virtualization of the network functions and advancements in OSS/BSS including utilization of AI/ML.  Dell Technologies is the leader in being the essential infrastructure company in the data center, the cloud, the core and the edge and is making significant investments to drive products and services into the telco network.  The Telecom Systems Business Unit (TSB) is a rapidly growing global organization comprised of specialized experts dedicated to strategically and intimately partnering with Telecom customers who are deeply engaged in a transformation within their network by delivering best-in-class technology and service solutions based on offerings from Dell Technologies.


This role will focus specifically on the optimization and execution of a telecom-optimized sales model to align Dell’s indirect sales motions to better enable multi-channel selling in partnership with our telecom customers.  Experience with channel sales, alliance management and partner models will help the successful candidate as she or he:

  • Identifies and evaluates sales growth strategies
  • Develops new analytical tools and processes
  • Recommends and implements sales force performance strategies and tracking models based on analytical findings
  • Serves as the primary interfaces with other internal functions.


  • Oversees/manages operational support to the segments
  • establishes operational objectives and assignments for subordinates
  • Identifies and brings key strategic issues and opportunities forward in a clear and structured way
  • Manages coordination of communications and information dissemination with sales force and cross-functional organizations
  • Develops sales measurement models and diagnostic tools to help identify sales performance indicators, key areas of opportunity and sales force training needs
  • Analyzes and recommends organization-wide strategic priorities, sales force performance metrics and sales effectiveness tracking methods
  • Evaluates and recommends changes in sales incentive plans in line with analyses that impact the entire organization

Essential Requirements
• At least 10-15 years of related experience
• Advanced understanding of channel, reseller and alliances-based sales processes
• Strong project management skills using project management methodology
• In-depth understanding of internal and external factors that affect company functions
• Understanding of key sales and management reporting tools

Desirable Requirements
• Relevant Bachelor’s degree

• Experience in the telecommunications industry
