Technical Program Management, Senior Advisor - Telecom Systems Business

What you’ll achieve

As an Engineering Program Manager, you will drive the development and implementation of new and exciting products and services, working closely with cross-functional teams to manage the entire lifecycle of highly complex programs.

A strong candidate will lead and manage a well-defined project management process and champion ongoing process improvement initiatives to implement best practices for Product Development.

This position requires excellent oral and written communication skills, and the ability to formulate issues and recommendations clearly.  Attention to detail, project management skills, and a highly organized, process-focused mind are required to manage executive priorities and deliverables.

You will:

  • Manage technical projects in an Agile organization, operating within given constraints of scope, schedule, budget, and quality through the duration of the project
  • Coordinate multiple technical cross-discipline teams through meetings and progress measurement activities to bring releases to completion on time.
  • Allocate work among team members and provides guidance on a regular basis
  • Conduct periodic reviews of the technical scope to ensure project is on track and conduct post-project reviews
  • Utilize relevant project management tools, systems, and applications and operate as a subject matter expert and coach in Agile development processes
  • Build effective team processes and provide ongoing program status and performance feedback to Engineering Leadership
  • Manage major risks and issues through effective contingency planning and proper escalation
  • Ensure all project documentation is kept up to date and communicated to the relevant stakeholders on a timely basis

Essential Requirements

  • 8-10 years of related experience in product development/solution areas
  • Knowledge of Product Offering Life-Cycle Methodologies and Agile Software Development Practices
  • Excellent communication skills; written, verbal and presentation.
  • Ability to manage cross functional teams to define the product/solution definition and requirements.
  • Demonstrated experience working with large Engineering Development team(s), programs kick-off(s), managing development schedules and driving interlock meetings along with presenting program status to key stakeholders.

  • Bachelor’s degree
