Client Solutions Product Technologist

Our Product Technologists play an essential role in creating technologies that drive human progress. Using our in-depth product knowledge, we provide pre-sales technical expertise for the development and implementation of complex products, applications and solutions. We’re relied upon to deliver sales presentations and product demonstrations to sales staff and customers and provide technical input into bid proposals. We also assess the potential of products to meet customer needs.

You will:

  • Supports the Client Solutions field sales teams and large customer opportunities. Assists in selling activities and positioning of assigned technologies.

  • Provides in-depth expertise for assigned technologies across the Client Solutions Group and associated Dell products. Delivers technical presentations to sales teams with the purpose of increasing the knowledge base to drive greater demand.

  • Delivers technical presentations to customers to act as a technical expert and consultant to deliver solutions. Develops a keen insight of customer needs and links them to the organization's products and/or services and provides feedback to product development teams.

  • May create detailed design and implementation specifications for complex products/applications/solutions. May demonstrate feasibility of a technology or a solution, often requiring a product demo for client. Maintains up-to-date and comprehensive knowledge of Dells and competitors' products and/or services.

Essential Requirements

  • 10+ years of relevant business experience in the IT industry (Sales, Sales Operations or Product Engineering) – sales experience highly valued

  • Good Presales & technical experience in Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) technologies & software integration across the client business

  • Excellent communication skills & white boarding skills

  • Proven ability to operate successfully in high-stress environments

  • Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to work and communicate with variety of internal stakeholders.
