HR Source Employee Senior Advisor provide front-line HR support and consultation that enables employees to find information, execute transactions, and resolve issues. Employees Advisors make accessing HR support easy and seamless while delivering a positive customer experience in every engagement. Job Role and Responsibility
This position will report into the Manager, HR Source APJ, and will partner closely with the Global HR Services teams, HR Management Partners, Employee Relations, various COEs including Compensation, Benefits, GPD, TA, HR Technologies to carry out day to day advisory services, role model in promotion of HR Source service model, promote and contribute to knowledge base philosophy and documentation, and handle complex liaison partnerships.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Act as a primary HR point of contact for manager and employee HR inquiries. Consistently provide impactful employee experience.
  • Provide basic advisory services to manager and employees on HR/Employment Law, compliance, employment relations, performance management guidance. Engage HRMP, ER, Ethics and Compliance team as appropriate and partner with them to manage these cases.
  • Build, organize and review knowledge base content, being the gatekeeper and publisher of KB, and ensure the promotion of direct accesses.
  • Document all contacts and outcomes within the case management tool
  • Resolve non-standard employee inquiries independently, identifying the best means to find expert support internally or externally
  • Utilize critical thinking skills, HR knowledge and internal knowledge base to address incoming inquiries
  • Can clearly articulate the philosophy of the VMware People/HR programs. Problem solve and support VMware employees and managers throughout the VMware People Programs.
  • Be a great partner with the broader HR team, handle more complex, higher volume COE relationships. Identify opportunity & build out the initial liaison relationship for a new group.
  • Identify and improve processes within the HR Source teams and throughout the broader HR organization, understands what steps need to be taken to take on new works from COE
  • Take on projects as a leader and participant to contribute to making a better HR organization. Participation in and representation of HR Source in complex projects, decision-making responsibility with regards to non or limited strategical process improvements.
  • Participates and Contributes to UAT exercise for new tools or major tool changes and provide meaningful feedback to project manager.
  • Analyze trends and report results, bringing findings and insights from HR Source to our businesses with right awareness & understanding of compliance, alignment, policy/program philosophy, system logic & capability, and local/regional business needs and law requirements.

Required Skills

  • 6- 8 years of experiences within the HR field, preferably in a generalist role, with good understanding of India HR practice, labor relations, HR Operation responsibility and processes, as well as working in cross-country groups or teams on delivering remote HR operational services with quality and efficiency
  • Ability to objectively coach employees and managers through complex HR issues, dealing with and handling confidential information and data
  • Ability to collaborate and build strong working relationships across all levels of the Human Resources organization and facilitate cross function meetings.
  • Strong PowerPoint, MS Excel skills
  • Excellent planning and organization skills with attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to handle a high volume of employee contacts daily while maintaining a positive attitude
  • Ability to meet deadlines in a high-volume energizing environment where change is constant
  • Ability to work independently on complex non-standard queries/cases with limited guidance and ability to work in a team environment

Preferred Skills

  • Masters/MBA in Human Resources or related field.
  • Experience in using Workday system, case management tool

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer or phone calls.
