Senior Advisor, Security Risk Management, (SRO)

The Dell Security & Resiliency organization (SRO) manages the security risk across all aspects of Dell’s business.  We are currently experiencing incredible growth in order to meet the security needs of the world’s largest technology company.  With team members located in over 15 countries, you will have an excellent opportunity to influence the security culture at Dell and further develop your career.

Dell is a worldwide provider of information technology services and business solutions to a broad range of clients. We seek men and women who share our values, thrive in a team environment, and recognize the importance of accountability; people who strive to exceed expectations to ensure our Clients' success.

What you’ll achieve

We are currently seeking a Security Risk Management Senior Advisor within the Governance, Risk and Compliance function to join our Security & Resiliency team. This role will be specifically focused on development, execution, and maturation of the High Value Asset Program (HVA). The Governance, Risk and Compliance team is responsible for setting the standard of what assets are most critical to Dell’s business and how they should be protected and controlled. The ideal candidate will be passionate about security, understand technical concepts and data flows, but also be able to engage with stakeholders across the enterprise that may not understand technical jargon.

You will:

  • Work with cross-functional stakeholders to use HVA criteria to identify their most critical assets to their business

  • Provide consultative scenario based risk assessment guidance that enables on-going pragmatic "full stack" security controls for the HVA asset ecosystems (I.e. all appropriate security functions/domains)

  • Contribute to and oversee the intake of HVA inventories, data repositories, for centralized Monitoring, Reporting, and continual improvement maturation.

  • Enhance existing Security Policy, Standards, Operational Procedures/Playbook requirements regarding the Controls, People, Processes, and Technology by engaging with key stakeholders and staying up to date with industry trends, threats, attack methods and vectors, and risk treatment opportunities to reduce risk to a tolerable level.

  • Oversee HVA Governance including at minimum: HVA Control library, Standards, HVA Approval to Move Forward decision gates, Exceptions to Policy, Mitigation Action Plans, and change control processes.

Take the first step towards your dream career

Every Dell Technologies team member brings something unique to the table. Here’s what we are looking for with this role:

Essential Requirements

  • 5-7 years of relevant security experience in GRC (Governance, risk and compliance), Security Operations, Red / Blue Teaming; hands-on with security control operation is highly desirable vs book theory based experience

  • Ability use evolving Threat Intelligence and inherent knowledge to identify risk and understand proper mitigation against today's rapidly evolving threats and complex attack vectors; MITRE

  • Experience working in GRC and reporting tools such as Archer, ServiceNow, and Power BI

  • Ability to work in ambiguity with limited oversight and hold people accountable

Desirable Requirements

  • Previous experience in audit, risk, compliance or familiarity with FAIR (Factor analysis information risk)

  • Demonstrated process improvement skills
