We undertake thorough analysis of the markets to ensure we maximize profitability and adjust our product strategies to respond to competition. Our role also involves acting as subject matter experts for internal and external product events or partner meetings.

What you’ll achieve

As a Consultant Product Manager for Licensing and Pricing Strategies, you will be responsible for developing, driving, and maintaining the licensing requirements and pricing model strategy for Dell’s Multi-Cloud Platforms for VMware and Microsoft, which include VxRail, Azure Stack HCI. You will ensure these strategies align with our product positioning and GTM strategies and is optimized to achieve our business goals.You will also be the expert for the group’s business and help drive strategic recommendations into product road maps and align strategies for the business.

You will:

  • Drive new VxRail VMware licenses and VxRail HCI SW pricing strategy requirements through the Offer Lifecycle Process (OLP)
  • Partner with procurement, legal and partner (VMware and Microsoft) counterparts for eOEM contracts and contract renewals
  • Present licensing and pricing proposal to executives for approval, adjust plan based on feedback and collaborate with cross function teams to address concerns from other stake holders.
  • Partner with CoC to optimize existing pricing structure, and innovate in new pricing strategy, offering and business model, to drive revenue and margin growth.
  • Identify causes and factors of business challenges as related with licensing, recommend solutions, and drive cross group consensus.

Essential Requirements 

  • A master’s degree in business, finance or similar areas or equivalent experience
  • At least 8+ years’ experience in Product Management, Finance/Pricing, Business development or equivalent experience
  • Strong understanding of virtualization technologies (preferably VMware and/or Microsoft)
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills

Desirable Requirements

  • Understanding of the entire IT stack from applications to storage and end-to-end solutions
  • Experience working with Hyper Converged Infrastructure (HCI) solutions
