Taking our technical skills to customer sites, we’re responsible for everything from installation, configuration, and integration, through to maintenance, troubleshooting and repair. Customers see us as a trusted liaison who can understand their precise needs on a host of admin and technical matters. We also work closely with our designers, solution managers and sales specialists to provide solutions.

What you’ll achieve
As Field Service Engineer, you will be taking care of our customer IT operations especially storage server hardware and software by delivering outstanding on-site support, applying technical expertise, peer collaboration, diagnosis tools and analytical practices to resolve customer issues

You will:

  • Conduct basic installation and repair of enterprise class storage systems, following predefined procedures and tasks in everyday activities; Perform troubleshooting, parts replacement, system upgrades and deployments

  • Escalate technical issues to more senior level technical specialist and support more senior level technical specialists in complex deployments

  • Work onsite daily at customer location(s) in Rochester, MN, including 24/7 On Call work for selected timeframes, and some Overtime work to meet customer schedules

  • Establish and build positive customer relationships and assure complete customer satisfaction at the assigned accounts by adherence to the following: prompt onsite arrival time, technical expertise, knowledge of customer environment, professionalism, and periodic visits as needed

  • Perform part replacements as directed by the technical support lab. This includes the timely and accurate submission of all associated documentation, and part return within 24 hours of the event

Essential Requirements

  • 1-3+ years of professional technical work experience, enterprise storage systems experience preferred, with an Associate's Degree or greater in a technical discipline, including experience in a customer facing role and self-motivated in your work, with demonstrated passion and enthusiasm

  • Ability to lift to 30-60 lbs. when necessary

  • Onsite work in Rochester, MN including local On Call 24/7 work and some Overtime

  • Reliable automobile to arrive at all customer locations promptly

  • Demonstrated sense of urgency, effective and professional communications, and keen attention to detail

Desirable Requirements

  • Industry certification(s) in Linux, Windows, VMware and/ or Networking

  • Relevant Dell EMC storage product certification(s)
