We are looking for a Security Architect to act as a senior team member based onsite at one of our international clients. The security architect will provide the customer with support in terms of architecture strategy by contributing to security elements of customer’s strategic architecture deliverables as required by the customer, (e.g. roadmaps, patterns, principles, standards and policies documentation). The security architect shall also provide subject matter expertise on security architecture best practice as required by the customer and shall assist the customer with any research supporting the use of emerging technologies as required by the customer.
Demonstrate ability and experience of:
Experience of developing Architectural Patterns, Security Standards and Security Designs that meet the customers’ requirements.
Applying Security Principles to a design.
Embedding security at all stages of a systems lifecycle.
Engaging with and negotiating requirements with cross team stakeholders at all levels of business.
Sounds knowledge of industry best practice.
Balancing short-term and long-term strategic goals.
Understanding of Secure Software Development.
Gaining “buy-in” from a diverse set of stakeholders.
Understanding and appreciation of emerging technology and modern security principles
Demonstrable ability with Cloud technologies, preferably with experience with Microsoft Azure, O365 and DevOps. Understanding of the components within the cloud technology and how they interoperate.
Knowledge of common network and security equipment, their function and suitable placement.
Knowledge of common security and network software used and its function
Knowledge of Authentication technologies
Knowledge of Cryptographic principles and standards
Act as a Subject Matter Expert for Secureworks technologies to the client
Ability to identify threats at all stages of a systems design
Ability to identify vulnerabilities in operational configurations and to collaborate with appropriate teams to resolve identifies vulnerabilities
Ability to appropriately articulate risk
Ability to propose suitable mitigations
Ability to assess, prioritise and track risk and proposed mitigations
Ability to assess risk proportionally against organisations appetite
- 5+ years experience of IT architecture, with 3+ years of that specialising in Security Architecture
- Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, GIAC, Azure, TOGAF etc highly desired
