Senior Pre-Sales Engineer - Networking Solutions

We are currently looking for an Senior Systems Engineer to join our Global Compute and Networking organization, in a quota carrying individual contributor role engaged in pre-sales engineering and selling compute, networking, and data center offerings.
What makes this role exciting:
Work with sales teams in a matrix environment to sell comprehensive solutions based on a thorough understanding of both short- and long-term customer requirements. This includes, but is not limited to, the development and implementation of technical sales strategies, thoughtful discovery of customer requirements and subsequent solution proposal development, delivery of technical presentations, product demonstrations, and customer focused seminars, participation in response to customer RFI/RFP, competitive differentiation of Dell EMC solutions, and support for customer product evaluations.
Senior level sales engineer with expert understanding of complex products and services portfolio. Gains access and manages relationships with senior level executives and IT decision makers
Get involved in complex Network Architecture design, understands Open Networking, Open Source, Open Compute.
Develop POC Guidelines, work closely with Product Development, Services, Principle Engineer and Architects within the Dell Technologies
Devises new approaches/methods to selling enterprise/client products and services
Verifies operability of highly complex product and service configuration within the customer’s environment that addresses critical issues
Synthesizes market, industry and competitor data to anticipate how external factors will influence the position of the solution and makes decisions that impact the long term success of the business
Leverages third-party and/or the Channel to create and position the solution, work closely with Dell Technologies Ecosystems of partners
Assumes leadership role in analyzing requirements and performing advanced systems integration and providing technical expertise to design and implement solution across breadth of Dell and third-party products and services
How your experience will help you hit the ground running:
15+ years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree; or 12+ years with a Master’s degree
CCIE in Routing and Switching a Plus
EVPN, Routing Protocols, SDWAN, Switching, Data Center Leaf and Spine, Open Source, Open Compute, Linux Foundation
Assists in formulating the customer’s long- term strategic vision and our role as a strategic partner
Influences the future development of enterprise/client technology, products, and services
Expected to be part of the overall product development cycle
Works with strategic planning teams to define future directions and strategies for products and services
