Job Role and Responsibility:

The Sales Support Associate for Tanzu will be responsible to generate, track and manage SPF (Special Pricing Form) quotes and requests within Model N and CPQ++ for our Tanzu Products. The successful candidate will be interfacing with Tanzu Sales Leaders, VMware DMT (Deal Management Team) and Tanzu Sales Operations teams from their respective geography to ensure SPF requests are being addressed and managed end-to-end in a timely fashion to assist in driving topline growth for Tanzu

  • Generate and Manage Tanzu SPF requests in VMware’s quoting tools (Model N / CPQ++) to support Sales team as needed for respective geography

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as Sales, DMT, Order Management and Sales Operations to define and drive a streamlined process for SPFs for Tanzu

  • Develop and maintain a SPF tracker for Tanzu to keep track of current and historical SPF requests to be able to report out on insights around SPFs

  • Engage with Sales to proactively assess which deals in pipeline will require an SPF

  • Engage with Pricing, Product Management and Product Operations teams to stay updated on any new Tanzu SKUs that will need to be activated for SPF and work with Pricing team to ensure these new SKUs go through Pricing Committee accordingly

  • Manage communication to the broader Tanzu team on new SKUs that have been SPF enabled to raise awareness and drive alignment

  • Lead training and enablement sessions for respective geography to inform new team members on end-to-end SPF process for Tanzu

Required Skills

  • 2-3 years of experience in an Operations, Sales or Project/Program management role

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills; must be able to work well with sales as well as internal departments such as operations and finance

  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage many diverse projects simultaneously

  • Ability to develop in-depth knowledge of company infrastructure, operations, contacts, and buying cycles

  • Ability to think strategically and adjust to meet business needs

  • Ability to work within a team environment and build rapport.

  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite
