What you’ll achieve
As a senior software developer you will be responsible for designing, developing and implementing technology new to Dell for addressing the demands of the 5G Open Radio Unit subsystem for operators, enabling our customers to exploit this significant market evolution. The candidate for this role should ideally have work experience in 5G wireless development, 4G R&D, mobile systems, or 3GPP as well as a strong background in embedded software and algorithms related to radio units. You will work with various software component teams to design and implement radio unit software.
You will:
Work with team leadership and other development groups to plan, develop and implement designs for 5G radio software
Participate in defining and architecting solutions allowing for scalable layer 1 and radio solutions for various ORAN deployments
Capture and review design and test artifactswithin functional areas driving the implementation of radio software

Essential Requirements
5 years+ of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and work experience
Familiar with modern software tools and development methodologies
Experience in C/C++, with knowledge of standard libraries, STL containers and algorithms
Experience with multi-process embedded software development on real time or near real time operating systems
Desirable Requirements
Familiarity with telecom systems such as 3GPP and/or O-RAN specifications, especially as related to radio units
Yocto or similar Linux based operating systems, BSP or driver development experience
I2C, SPI, PHY or other bus management experience, eCPRI, PTP or CUS-Plane protocol experience
