What you’ll achieve
As a Principal Developer, you will be responsible for integrity, flexibility, adaptability and maintainability of the RU software stack. You will work with Product and Project Management, Hardware, Software and Systems teams on Dell's commitment to delivering open 5G telecom solutions.
You will:
Maintain and extend the RU software architecture in conjunction with Systems, Hardware and Software teams
Mentor and lead discussion of software implementation within the O-RAN RU specification and beyond
Foster and develop IP for Dell Telecom Systems to keep our global communities communicating

Essential Requirements
Track record of technology breakthrough performance working on mobile network systems either as a member of a network equipment manufacturer or as a radio technology provider
Expert in Software Systems, Radio Equipment Control, Software Functional Specification, Software Algorithms to Control and Optimize Hardware
Familiarity with front-haul standards, ideally including exposure to O-RAN
Experienced in integrating third-party software IP
Understanding of 3GPP specifications as related to Remote Radio Units
Organized, goal-oriented technical leader to lead, follow, and effectively collaborate with knowledgeable development peers and business partners
Strong knowledge in 4G and 5G Radio and/or subsystems architecture, implementation and ecosystem
Desirable Requirements
Experienced in interfacing third-party analog and mixed signal devices as well as RF power amplifiers
Wireless expert with strong hands-on technical skills and the demonstrated ability to work across disparate groups including sales, operations, product management, and engineering
Experience in Software Requirements Management techniques
