What you’ll achieve
The Software Manager - DevOps will be a key member of a brand new, built from the ground up, high powered Ottawa R&D team. The team will be responsible for designing, developing and implementing a technology new to Dell for addressing the demands of the 5G Radio subsystem for operators and to help our customers to exploit this significant market evolution. The candidate for this role will have management experience in a DevOps role in an R&D organization, and would also benefit from experience in in a wireless development organization.
Be a DevOps Evangelistwho is responsible for the success of all the DevOps processes and its' people
Assume both line and project management responsibility in 5G NR gNodeB RAN solutions
Ensure Infrastructure Automation – creating systems, OS configuations, and application deployments as code.
Provide Continuous Delivery – continuous integration, building, testing, deploing applications quickly and in an automated manner, with a particular focus on test automation.
Practice Site Reliability Engineering – operate systems; monitoring, orchestration, and designing for operability and security against specific KPIs.
Line responsibilities include human resource hiring & management, department competency, tools and methodologies, stakehold reporting, and product quality
Have responsibilities including accountability for customer deliverables, budget, and schedule
Have previously managed a multi-site test team
Define and lead an agile environment for the team

Proven record of successfully leading a software devops program, built from the ground up, setting a vision for a team to realize

Expertise in Agile, CI/CD, LEAN SW Development
10+ years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and work experience
