Role Summary

Dell is looking for a gNodeB Security Software Architect to take part in a once in a career opportunity to be part of building something from scratch and shepherding it into the marketplace. 

The gNodeB Security Software Architect will have overall ownership for the gNodeB Security software, be a key member of a brand new, built from the ground up, high powered Ottawa R&D team.  The team will be responsible for designing, developing and implementing a technology new to Dell for addressing the demands of the 5G Radio subsystem for operators and to help our customers to exploit this significant market evolution. The candidate for this role will have significant work experience in TelcoSecurity Development Lifecycles (SDLC) based on standards such as IEC62443-4.1, ISO/IEC 27034-1:2011, ISO 27001:2013 and ISO 27002:2013; preferably with wireless experience in a 4G/5G R&D, gNodeB/eNodeB software, Mobile system and has 3GPP knowledge.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Implementation and development of the SDLC including development, training and compliance across the organization including:

    • Blackduck scans

    • Coordinating PEN testing and getting third parties engaged

    • Static code analysis best practices

    • Removing banned functions

    • Vulnerability assessments

  • Experience in Security Development Lifecycles (SDLC) based on standards such as IEC62443-4.1, ISO/IEC 27034-1:2011, ISO 27001:2013 and ISO 27002:2013

  • Security vulnerabilities lifecycle (Keep up to date, response to issues, patch etc) for our OSs, Stacks, open source SW, etc

  • Alignment to standards and government certification in and when needed.

Essential Requirements

  • Experience working in a Telecom embedded development team

  • Knowledge and experience SDLC tools, implementations and standards

  • Knowledge of security standards and interfaces

  • Organized, goal-oriented, self-starter, with a team focused mentality

Experience and Education

  • 8+ years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and work experience
