We are looking for an experienced Solutions Enablement Manager to join our fast paced and rapidly growing Solutions Enablement team.  This is an agile team that is able to pivot at a moment’s notice and we’re looking for a like-minded individual to join our group. This person will be responsible for owning and devising the overall plan for key enablement efforts across our partner solutions teams, “verticals” enablement and SaaS selling efforts. Support for other strategic enablement efforts in areas with stakeholders in the Office-of-the-CTO (OCTO) and Apps & Cloud Solutions Sales and Specialist Teams, in conjunction with other Solutions Enablement team members is also expected.

The successful Solutions Enablement Manager must have a broad knowledge of VMware’s strategic priorities, solutions franchises and overall portfolio positioning. This role requires a strategic mindset and understanding of solution-selling, along with the ability to lead content development and contribute to the creation of high-quality, prescriptive solutions enablement materials for sales and partners.

This person will be responsible for ensuring that solutions enablement programs are developed and delivered with the highest standards of quality set forth by the Solutions Enablement Team and WWRACE leadership. #WWRACE


  • Translate Solutions Marketing from various sources and teams into viable enablement content
  • Build and own the solutions enablement plan for Partner Solutions and Strategic Pursuit Practice (SPP) enablement
  • Support existing team efforts around SaaS, verticals, cross-solutions, sales ops and other key areas
  • Provide leadership and guidance for all relevant stakeholder teams by conducting and leading meetings with SMEs to drive enablement plans, priorities and projects
  • Drive clear, concise modular content development efforts, in conjunction with Instructional Designers and other supporting resources
  • Work with SMEs and Instructional Designers to build and develop storyboards for enablement modules/courses
  • Evaluate effectiveness of training resources to determine areas for improvement
  • Work with project managers to plan programs from start to completion, involving deadlines, milestones and processes
  • Ensure enablement programs, deliverables and projects are delivered on-time in accordance with the needs of sales teams, geo leaders and public marketing campaigns
  • Keep senior management informed with detailed and accurate status reports and project plans


  • Proven experience in Solutions enablement, sales enablement, content development and strategic planning
  • Ability to translate complex product and solution level marketing materials into engaging enablement content that is in the “language of sales.”
  • Expert knowledge and understanding of VMware’s strategic positioning and solutions franchises
  • Broad VMware portfolio knowledge across our 90+ primary offerings
  • Team-player that works well with others, with a high-capacity to learn and grow as a unit and help others where needed
  • Works well under pressure and deadlines, supporting major enablement events (sales kickoffs, large events, etc.)
  • Able to manage and prioritize multiple stakeholder teams, projects and deliverables at one time with an agile and flexible mindset
  • A business acumen with a strategic ability
  • Excellent organizational, communication, collaboration and leadership skills
  • An innovative mindset with great “creative thinker” abilities
  • BSc/BA diploma in management or a relevant field; MSc/MA is a plus
  • Hands-on experience with content development tools (Articulate Rise, Articulate Storyline, Xyleme, Adobe After Effects and other video editing applications) HIGHLY desired
