Join us as a Junior Software Engineer - on our Data Services team in Warsaw, Poland to be part of a global engineering team with a focus on Data Warehousing and Credentials Management

What you’ll achieve:

As an entry-level engineer for a position in our data warehousing team, You will be responsible for maintaining and implementing ETL/data pipelines and creating data models which support decision making for lab operations, asset management, product development, program management, and DevOps. You will also contribute to monitoring and supporting the warehouse by resolving bugs and providing query and database tuning. You will be working with a small, diverse, and geographically distributed team in an agile environment and expected to work closely with senior team members to support new data development, data analysis, and problem resolution.

You will:

•            Monitor, triage, and resolve ETL failures, query tuning, and database performance issues

•            Document data definitions and warehouse business logic

•            Provide legacy ETL code and data model refactoring

•            Implement data warehouse ETL & data models

•            Collaborate with data warehouse and analytics team on new technologies and methodologies

Essential Requirements:

  • Working understanding of ETL, ELT, data pipelines, traditional data warehousing and Big Data architectures
  • Experience with configuring, designing, and tuning RDBMS platforms
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Structured, process-oriented work ethic, Exhibits initiative and persistence
  • Ability to work in a highly distributed, remote team environment

Desirable Requirements:

  • 1-2 years working experience a plus
  • Ability to implement data ingestion and processing with Microsoft SSIS/C# and Airflow/Python,
  • Software development process and CI with Git, Jenkins (or similar)
