What you’ll achieve
In this new role as the Lease accountant for Custom Apex you will perform Lease classification testing on customer contracts both for our rapidly growing Data Centre Utility and Flex on demand business,

The role includes working with various stakeholders from the Custom Apex finance team, pricing team and delivery teams


You will:

·Develop an understanding of the Flex on Demand and DCU customer deal process including pricing, revenue commitments and cost of sales and source key data requirements needed to perform a lease classification test under ASC 842

·Validate the accuracy and integrity of all data relied upon in the testing and perform necessary analysis to determine Lease versus non lease elements of each deal including essential versus non-essential software

·Ensure all classification testing is appropriately documented with supporting documentation to enable audit by our external audit team

·Work with the Custom Apex delivery team to determine the timing of lease commencement and associated accounting and prepare the necessary manual accounting adjustments to support the Lease accounting including recognition of revenue, reclassification of revenue and COGS acceleration

·Perform review controls and analysis on revenue recognition timing and “day 2 “accounting for Sales type leases; Prepare necessary schedules to support balance sheet items including accrued revenue and maintain an excel database of financial statement lease disclosure data that is required for Dell’s external SEC filings

Essential Requirements

·2 + Years post qualification experience in Industrial Accounting/Finance area; Experience in US GAAP Accounting with a preference for Lease accounting and Revenue Recognition experience

·Experience of Statutory Audit and Previous SAP or Oracle experience is an advantage

·Proficient in use of Excel, PowerPoint, and other Microsoft Office applications.

·Excellent communication and relationship building skills & Strong analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills

·Sensitive to deadlines and strive to deliver quality information in a timely manner while handling multiple priorities to be exhibited through responsiveness to sales force requests


Desirable Requirements

·Detail oriented, motivated and a flexible approach to work, resilience and the ability to work independently to deliver results

·Must demonstrate customer focus (internal and external), attention to detail, command skills and ability to deal with ambiguity, and be a team player and self-starter

Salary for Slovak market starting from: 2 400 EUR/month
