The Director, TSB System Specialty / Next Gen Ops/Core will lead a global team of TSB System Architects driving the adoption of TSB capability in the Next Gen Ops and Core domain area. The Telecom System Architects provide thought leadership, strategic guidance, broad industry knowledge and technology expertise to support development of new business opportunities and sales pursuits in the network ITdomain covering Core, OSS, and BSS workloads. They are thetrusted advisors for the network teams at our telecom customers. They collaborate with Product Management, Engineering, Sales, Architecture, and Transformation teams to drive customer requirements and map innovative technology solutions from Dell and its partners.


  • Develop and lead a team of industry leading specialists that can drive adoption of TSB capabilities into Dell’s focused customers.

  • Work with DTS Telco Leadership to define a prioritized plan to succeed globally in the marketplace.

  • Capture requirements to be successful in the marketplace and drive that back into the business into TSB Product, TSB Engineering, TSB Services and TSB Strategic Alliances (among others).

  • Develop mindshare with selected Telecom Operators and partner related to telecom core, OSS, and BSS offerings

  • Develop trusted and meaningful client relationships through a deep understanding of key business issues within theirnetwork account base and alignment to key Dell Technology Solutions

  • Provide technical expertise for core, OSS, and BSS-relatedtransformations by understanding current-state of network architecture, technology as well as partners and develop alignment to future-state architectures

  • Engineer/architect customer specific core, OSS, and BSS solutions required for enterprise outcomes as well as take charge of technical responses to RFI/P/Q with support from SystemsTechnologists

  • Deliver compelling presentations, points of view, and workshops highlighting the value proposition of our core, OSS, and BSSportfolio offerings in addressing network operator needs and generating business outcomes.

  • Drive a complex sales engagement process with potential multiple pursuits managed over multiple months/years, orchestrating, and collaborating across internal resources and core sales teams. Includes pipeline tracking and reporting activities.

  • Consolidate and communicate customer requirements to R&D/product teams including identification of capability gaps as well as ecosystem partners with innovative offerings

  • Participate in joint whitepaper creation with engineering leads, product managers and ET/SEs

  • Participate in and contribute to key vertical industry forums

  • Work with product management, service, and partner teams to identify, clarify, and prioritize requests for feature enhancements and capabilities

  • Develop and deliver internal knowledge sharing collateral in the core, OSS, and BSS domain

  • Develop telecom industry thought leadership and evangelize Dell’s perspective in the region

  • Drive network-related revenue contributions

  • Other duties as assigned

Essential Requirements

  • Ability to identify, define and lead multi-year core, OSS, and BSS pursuitswith key stakeholders across network-focused teams

  • Deep understanding of end-to-end Telcom Networks as well as network operations across OSS/BSS, network core, transport, edge and RAN

  • Deep understanding of Telecom core, OSS, and BSS solutions and markets

  • Robust knowledge of technologies, standards, and architectures associated with virtualization, K8s/containers, big-data, security, public clouds, private cloud as well as hybrid cloud and hyper-converged solutions; along with the ability to map a solution’s value to an account’s business needs

  • Strong capabilities on the application of telecom infrastructure to address and articulate industry trends and act as a technical advisor during presales engagements, while validating the customer’s choice for Dell Technologies solutions

  • Strong leadership skills with an ability to orchestrate technical and sales resources to drive large customer projects in key accounts and establish deep relationships with key customer stakeholders to achieve trusted advisor status

  • Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal skills which allow to influence and interact with confidence and credibility at all levels within Dell Technologies, customers, partners and vendors

  • Ability to work in matrixed, complex, fast-moving and constantly changing environments within an extremely competitive market

  • Deep understanding of leading core, OSS, and BSS solutions from vendors including Ericsson, Nokia, Amdocs, Netcracker, Oracle, Mavenir, and others
