New Product Introductions at one of the world’s largest technology companies is no small challenge. It’s complex, fast moving, ever changing and above all exciting. It keeps our people on their toes. Our Storage Supply Chain Management team within Materials and Procurement takes charge of readiness for new Storage platforms.

Join us as a Senior Advisor, NPI Supply Chain Management on our Global Storage Products Supply Chain Management team in Austin, TX to do the best work of your career. Ability to work remote.

What you’ll achieve

You will be responsible to ensure that the supply readiness, execution, and delivery of New Product Introduction are in-line with launch timeline and adhere to NPI process and operation model. You will:

  • Manage Supply Chain and Materials deliverables for each phase gate in NPI process, conduct meetings with suppliers to improve new products launch lead time to meet the NPI launch timing.

  • Work with engineering to identify preliminary critical parts, long-lead parts and inspection requirements. Assist and/or lead in developing supplier and commodity road maps. Develop and leverage process maps for critical parts to streamline the supply chain and understand and mitigate capacity constraints

  • Work with Supply chain to drive dual sourcing activities to mitigate supply risk, identify, develop and execute LLT strategies to support post-launch/steady-state phase, work with Sourcing Managers and suppliers to identify their ability to expand capacity to support volume manufacturing

  • Ensure post-launch/steady state ramp plans are identified, communicated and executed, serve as a cross-functional link; maintain open communication among matrixed stakeholders relating to materials and SC readiness issues as well as be the POC for Supply Chain organization in cross-functional NPI core team reviews. Synthesize and report program status regularly. Escalate issues, as necessary and influence others across a matrix of functions throughout the program/project

Essential Requirements

  • Minimum 6-8 years of integrated project management experience, leading projects of varied scale and complexity preferably with SC exposure/knowledge.

  • Experience with NPI and/or NPI program management, understanding of Project Management Methodology will be an advantage.

  • A proven cross-functional leader who has demonstrated the ability to facilitate problem solving sessions across the organization, having good knowledge on operational areas: sourcing, supply chain, manufacturing, demand/supply planning

  • Strong communication and multi-tasking skills in a dynamic environment, ability to work in a collaborative team environment and develop partnerships outside of the organization

Desirable Requirements

Project Management Certification (PMP) Credential is a plus
