What you’ll achieve
You will be part of a team of highly motivated engineers and architects who are responsible for designing platforms for new and emerging technologies like AI/ML, Cloud, Telco and Edge. The responsibilities for this position include working directly with customers, CTIO, product marketing and cross-functional, other engineering organizations within Dell EMC, and leading technology suppliers.

You will:

  • Create architectural and design specifications for the development organization

  • Provide customers solution alternatives based on existing portfolio products or industry technologies

  • Work with other cross-Dell architectural organizations to ensure optimal product leverage and system level design of complex server, storage, and networking/fabric systems

  • Lead technology investigations, performing competitive analysis of industry capabilities, investigating software options that complement CET hardware to create complete solutions, and develop recommendations for product strategy.

Essential Requirements

  • 15+ years of related experience in a professional role with a Bachelor’s degree; or 12+ years and a Master’s degree; or a PhD with 8+ years experience; or equivalent experience

  • Design experience with x86 and/or ARM architecture

  • Deep experience with at least one of the technologies: Telco, Edge, Cloud Service Provider,  AI/ML systems and customer needs.

  • Demonstrated ability to work with customers and product management to define new products and features and document them in detailed architecture specifications.

  • Experience integrating high-speed networking (100Gb+) into server systems

Desirable Requirements

  • Broad experience with PCIE, DDR memory, SSD\NVME storage, and Networking subsystems
