Project Manager, Professional Services - Secureworks

The Project Manager will work within a team of Project Managers and Consultants in region to deliver best in class security consultingand implementation services. Working as part of the Global Professional Services (GPS) Team, the individual is responsible for ensuring that projects are delivered according to the GPS processes and industry best practices including execution of appropriate project management controls. 

Specific responsibilities include:

  • Ensuring assurance and compliance for projects within their management control, including risk management, financial management, commercial management and quality management
  • Working with Professional Services leadership and SRC Operations to ensure that there is efficient allocation of resources with appropriate skills within the programme & project portfolio
  • Supporting the wider Professional Services community, ensuring that experiences and knowledge is shared and repurposed for the benefit of all
  • Responsible for their own career path and ensuring that training plans are in place, remain current and are implemented

What you’ll achieve

  • Delivery of customer projects from the Professional Services portfolio (from Advanced Transitions  through Premium Onboarding for new logos and in life offerings such as Scenario Based Workshop and Remote Training)
  • Foster strong teamwork, knowledge sharing and collaboration in region, across Global team and wider SCWX.
  • A personal billable target of 65% 
  • Leverage and contribute to development of operational processes and policies within Professional Services.
  • Facilitate escalations and communications across business units to ensure service excellence for clients 
  • Scoping and delivery of client and team-internal projects

Essential Requirements

  • Minimum  of  2 years experience working in a Project Manager position with a proven ability to lead and deliver multiple security projects at one time
  • Strong stakeholder management capabilities and able to build trusting relationships with the business and peers within the project and organisation , including experience of presenting at senior management levels
  • Experience of project management of geographically distributed projects with remote teams in different time zones
  • Effective leadership, interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Strong time management & project scheduling and budgeting skills
  • Fully conversant with Microsoft Project
  • Qualification in project management preferably PMI PMP or PRINCE 2 Certification
  • Experience managing 3rd party channel & partner relationships
  • Experience in developing Proposals and Statements of Work
  • Prior experience working within professional services/consulting fields
  • Ability to translate technical information into commercial terms for non-technical contacts
  • Experienced and skilled in conflict resolution
  • The ability and presence to command respect and to create a sense of community amongst the often disparate members of the project team
  • Able to easily identify with the business issues and able to proactively manage risks and commercial exposure 
  • Energetic, proactive, ability to learn quickly, and work well in a team environment 
  • Strong security background  and experience of delivering information security consultancy services in the areas of information security management, programs and operations. 
  • Taegis XDR trained
  • A person of integrity, living and demonstrating the Secureworks Values:  A role model and agent of cultural change
  • Organisationally astute – able to operate effectively within a complex corporate environment undergoing significant change

Desirable Requirements

  • Taegis XDR certified
  • Contributing to information security community projects via methodology development and thought leadership 
  • Desirable Certification for this role - or willingness to achieve in the next 24 months:  , CISSP, CISM, CISA, GCFA etc. 
  • The experience within their past career to bolster the above skills with a knowledge and broad experience of technical security controls such as firewalls, IDS/IPS, vulnerability management systems, log monitoring and retention solutions and SIEM
