Product Management Senior Advisor Job Description

Showcasing excellence and innovation at every stage, Product Management Senior Advisor is responsible for Services Offer Management for products or solutions throughout their entire lifecycle. Using a wealth of technical and industry experience, we work across functional areas to ensure service offers are properly enabled for products or solutions. We strive to maximize Service offer sales & profitability by making necessary adjustments to our strategies to respond to competition. Our role also involves acting as subject matter experts for service offers and service SKU architecture for all Dell Technologies sales tools & systems.

What you’ll achieve
As a Product Management Senior Advisor, you will review product/service opportunities and optimize existing products/solutions Service offers for New Product Introductions (NPI) in the Storage space.

You will:

  • Have responsibility for Service Offer Management for products throughout their entire lifecycle
  • Review and determine Service Offer requirements for product programs
  • Develop Service Enablement Plans (services SKU architecture) for product programs
  • Develop Service Validation Plans (services validation rules for sales tools) for product programs
  • Work closely with Service Program Manager and Services Extended Teams to provide program feedback and status regularly
  • Work closely with New Service Introduction (NSI) team on Service Offer requirements
  • Work closely with Service SKU team on SKU architecture and provide recommendations on pricing/costing
  • Work closely with Global Offer & Product Operations (GOPO) teams on validation rules and provide recommendations
  • Address any presales query for service offer and service offer or service SKU architecture issues for both NPI and sustaining effort
  • Ensure all communication of new or updated offers are completed

Essential Requirements

  • 5 to 12 years of related experience
  • Excellent technology/engineering skills relating to design, test and quality
  • Solid grasp of business goals and objectives as they relate to customer use cases and solutions
  • Excellence in understanding competitors and their products as well as potential partner relationships for the product

Desirable Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or a Master’s degree
  • Proven experience working on a world-class product
