What you’ll achieve

Solutions Architecture is a job function that focuses on the strategic planning, design, implementation, and oversight of the Solutions Validation process. The Solutions Architect will lead cross-team requirements, design validation process and infrastructure requirements, participate in creation of validation plan including test Epics with measures of success, and consult at each stage of validation to ensure on-time delivery of the MVP.  The Solutions Architect will also serve as a bridge between ingredient teams, ensuring complete validation of usability, security, interoperability, and performance characteristics.


Responsibilities

  • Research, design, plan, and direct the solutions validation strategy
  • Drive scope of testing for specific solution offerings, and provides technical consulting during execution
  • Accountable for complex technical direction to other technical personnel to complete an engineering project
  • The solutions validation architect will define and implement across cross-functional validation solution strategy.  
  • Develops and guides the team in implementing the required test methods and tools needed to validate new solution offering technologies
  • Represents organization in all front-end planning activities including proof of concept activities, scoping and sizing, and identifying key dependencies required to deliver high quality solutions offerings
  • Authors and guides leadership through innovative test processes and methodology improvements from an end-to-end test perspective
  • Identifies and develops strategic partnerships with key stakeholders and core team members

Required Skills

  • Requires 12+ years of related experience in the development, validation, and integration of ingredients in a client ecosystem
  • Familiarity on how client solutions play a role in today’s user ecosystems to provide a superior customer experience
  • Demonstrated ability to translate customer expectations into quantifiable test methods and processes
  • Ability to think strategically, deal with ambiguity, and influence others through effective communication
  • Must possess a demonstrated understanding of hardware and software interactions, and able to apply this understanding to develop key validation strategies, address technical problems, and resolve key issues. 
  • Strong knowledge of the architecture and interdependencies of the PC ecosystem including HW, FW, Drivers, OS and Applications
  • Proficient in Agile and Waterfall development automated environments
  • Proven experience in leading teams through transformational validation strategies 


Desired Skills

  • Knowledge of programming languages; operating systems; firmware; BIOS; device drivers; databases; system, network, operating system, and application administration; embedded software/firmware; tools and utilities
  • In-depth knowledge of test strategies for a variety of different software products
  • General understanding of both consumer and enterprise/IT client environments
  • Familiarity of cloud solutions and services
  • Demonstrated leadership in designing, validating, integrating, and/or delivering multiple components of a client ecosystem
