What you’ll achieve

As a Product Designer you will be part of a group of talented Designers, Engineers and others in related Design roles who manage products and solutions involving cross-functional teams focused on delivery of exceptional product experiences. Your role is multi-disciplinary, delivering value in the form of design decisions. You lead design along with Senior Designers; to understand and empathize with people to help your cross-functional team solve customer and business problems. You won't be working alone. As a member of a centralized design team for Dell Digital, you'll receive guidance and mentorship from design leaders in our mission to ship world-class digital commerce products. Together we will affect millions of customers worldwide and help drive multi-billion-dollar businesses.

You will:

  • Take a user-centered approach to design process and methods

  • Lead the design process from problem discovery, framing, ideation, iterative development, delivery, and maintenance

  • Guide and validate design decisions with user research methods and existing data

  • Learn and balance user and business goals to achieve desirable, viable, and feasible solutions

  • To be responsible for user research, interaction design, visual design, and content artefacts that communicate design decisions for the user experience and user interface

  • Partnering and collaborating effectively with researchers, engineers, designers, product owners, and business stakeholders on all initiatives

  • Evolving and evangelizing our Design System

Essential Requirements

  • Knowledgeable on User Interview Scripts, Prioritization Techniques, Empathy Maps, User Journey, Lean Experiments, Interaction States, Interaction Models, Information Architecture

  • Visual Brand Identity, Visual Style Guide, Micro-interactions, Component Libraries,

  • Front-End Development Fundamentals (CSS, HTML, JS)

  • Writing (Grammar, Spelling, Punctuation), Writing Style Guide & Writing Brand Identity.

  • Utilizing Existing Data, Problem & Need Statements, User Flows, Low Fidelity Prototyping

  • Visual Design (Visual Hierarchy, Color, Typography, Iconography)

Desirable Requirements

  • A design degree is desirable, but not necessary
